Job Title: Associate Recruiter
Job Classification: Full-Time, Exempt Employee (40 hrs per week)
Salary: $20-$22 per hour DOE + quarterly bonuses and benefits
Schedule: M-F 8-4 or 9-5 MST
Location: Remote (see below)
This is a full-time, fully remote position (work from home) under the direct supervision of the Director of Talent Acquisition. We are currently able to accept candidates residing in one of the following states: AZ, CA, CO, NM, TX, UT, WA, ID, OR, WI or IN. We are seeking an experienced recruiter (1 year min experience in recruitment/HR) and have strong preference for candidates that also have experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Job Summary:
The Associate Recruiter is the first point of contact for all new Registered Behavior Technician Interns enrolled in the RBT Internship training program at BCI. The Recruiter is responsible for resume and application review, sourcing candidates from regional job pools and assisting to make new sourcing connections in each community that we serve. The Associate Recruiter will also be performing phone interviews with candidates and facilitating live group video interviews for RBT Intern candidates. The Associate Recruiter will be participating in hiring decisions by selecting interns for the RBT Training program at BCI and conducting verbal offers of employment for RBT interns.
Essential Duties Include the Following:
Recruit new talent for all Registered Behavior Technicians, screen applicants for the RBT Internship training program at Behavior Change Institute. Formally hire all new RBTs joining Behavior Change Institute.
RECRUITMENT
- Identify sources for recruitment in core service areas and collaborate with BCI's Talent Sourcing Coordinator to attend on site and virtual hiring events in New Mexico as needed
- Prepare and posting job listings to appropriate recruitment sources (Indeed.com, Handshake and alternative job boards)
- Ensure that all active jobs listings are refreshed weekly based on need determined in weekly Recruitment Target #s Report
- Promote company’s reputation as a top workplace
SCREENING
- Screen candidate resumes and employment applications for interviews
- Conduct initial phone interviews for RBT Internship candidates
- Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes for the RBT Internship positions and schedule viable candidates in group interviews via Zoom technology
- Review and process formal RBT internship applications in KiSSFLOW and create HR files for all interns accepted into a cohort
- Organize application materials and import files from job aggregate sites into cloud based storage system (Box.com)
- Make selection decisions for the Registered Behavior Technician Internship program & track intern progress, provide support as needed
- Respond to general inquiries regarding employment over the phone and through the Recruitment Department email address
- Advertise for RBT Internship through social media outlets such as Facebook, LinkedIN, & Instagram
SELECTION
- Make hiring decisions for Registered Behavior Technician positions in collaboration with HR Onboarding team (reference and background check pending) and BCI Training Team’s recommendations
- Collaborate with BCI’s Scheduling Coordinator to determine hiring needs and client pairing availability
- Facilitate all verbal offers of employment for RBTs using regional compensation guidelines to establish pay rates (escalating compensation negotiations to hiring manager)
- Maintain transparent communication with interns who have completed the internship training program regarding upcoming employment opportunities if employment cannot be offered immediately
REPORTING
- Track individual key performance indicators and report interview data to recruitment team weekly
- Track departmental goals to ensure equal contribution with recruitment team members and client needs have been met weekly, monthly, quarterly
Required Meetings:
- Attend weekly Recruitment Department Meetings and breakout meetings interdepartmentally as needed
- Attend one-on-one meetings with Recruitment Director as needed
- Attend on site or online recruitment events as needed on a quarterly basis
OTHER:
- Assist with Career Webinars online over Google Meets
- Coordinate with the Training Coordinator to address and resolve any HR related matters involving interns that may affect their eligibility for employment at BCI and to ensure alignment with requirements outlined in the Employee Handbook for all staff at BCI (hair color, nail length, availability changes, relocation request, etc)
- Coordinate with the Training Team to track intern accommodations and anticipated internship completion timelines
- Coordinate with the HR Onboarding Coordinator to ensure intern references have been cleared for interns participating in pilot cohorts
- Coordinate with the HR Onboarding Coordinator to ensure newly employed RBTs meet the CPR/BLS requirements, and send reminders to complete required documents with outlined HR deadlines
- Assist with special projects and duties as assigned

- Ability to conduct interviews via multiple modalities (structured, competency based, behavioral based, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with various selection processes (resume screening, phone interviewing, reference checking, etc.)
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong decision making skills
- General knowledge of best practice in human resources and recruiting
- General Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and general database management
- Complete Mandatory Training Requirements (first 60 days)
- Attend workshops, training, and in-services as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Business, Communications, Human Resources, Human Services or Education is preferable
- 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- 1 year of recruitment experience strongly preferred
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in NM, AZ, CO that are willing to travel to NM quarterly or as needed for recruitment purposes
Writing Skills
Ability to produce careful documentation for employee human resource files, in accordance with best practice. Ability to write in English and produce written material with appropriate grammar preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from your direct supervisor, employees, job candidates and community partners when appropriate.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
