Job Description

Salary: 85,150 - 153,925 USD per year Requirements:

  • Currently possess an active TS/SCI.
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science and 5-10 years of total experience, or an additional 3 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years in controlled access network management support and demonstrated expertise with voice, video, networking, administration, SharePoint management, Microsoft OS, and VMware.
  • 5+ years in network engineering or systems management support with knowledge of storage and IA compliance and ensuring high levels of availability on DoD IT infrastructures.
  • Requires a broad understanding of and the ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of network engineering, systems administration, and information security domains.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and subordinates.
  • Currently possess DoDM 8140.03 certification at IAT Level II, such as Security+ CE.
Responsibilities:
  • I communicate with internal and client project team members and work to influence team members regarding solution design, processes, and/or approaches.
  • I provide Subject Matter Expertise onsite with specialized knowledge of the operation, technical processes, and maintenance requirements of systems, networks, and advanced operational techniques.
  • I make recommendations for C4ISR architecture modifications to assist with mission requirements to support operational or training initiatives.
  • I assist units in implementing advanced technical processes and analytical techniques, optimize equipment and network resources, and advise equipment users on tailoring their systems to support unique reporting and operational requirements.
  • I assist users and maintainers in diagnosing and correcting maintenance deficiencies.
  • I prepare procedures, processes, and techniques; demonstrate how advanced capabilities are achieved, provide instructional support to equipment users, and monitor user performance to ensure correct execution.
  • I support USMC C4ISR equipment users and maintainers.
  • I am responsible for supporting System Network, Administration, and Operational tasks, including:
  • - Maintenance and installation of routers, switches, hubs, COMSEC devices, and limited cable installations.
  • - System administration tasks such as patching and updates, backups and restorations, and maintenance of SharePoint, web, PKI, AD, email, and database servers.
  • - Administration of VOIP, SVTC, and DVTS systems.
  • - Provide deskside support.
  • I develop a broad range of communication and training materials including digital signage, intranet, and other resources.

Preferred qualifications include:

- DoDM 8140.03 certification at IAT Level III, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Specialized training in areas such as Storage technology, Azure, or Cloud Services administration.
- ITILv4 certification.
- A Master’s degree in technology or engineering.

The Defense Group at Leidos is looking for a Network Engineer to work on-site in Tampa, FL, providing support to the US Marine Corps Forces Central Command (MARCENT).
